beaded headdress?

Today I saw a girl walking with a beaded headband on… around her forehead. Confusing? It was black, rectangular beads, strung on what might look to be a headband or even a necklace but instead, worn directly around her head and across her forehead. Needless to say, I was confused.

I google-d the trend, and didnt find much, except for a strange photo of Mischa Barton [is she still alive?] sporting the trend.

My conclusion? Forehead bands are not cool. Maybe in the 70’s when my parents were at Woodstock, but in the 20 degree weather of boston, beaded forehead wraps are just bizzare.
